Tarahom

“Tarahom” is the Saudi national committee for the care and support of prisoners, released prisoners, and their families. The committee was established in 2001 by virtue of a cabinet decision headed by his Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi.

The charitable non-profit organization includes more than 12 government institutes as partners, in addition to partnerships with the private sector represented by a Saudi board of businessmen. “Tarahom” is considered one of the national committees that works to improve the quality of life for inmates, the released, and their families by supporting them financially and psychologically. 

The national committee needed to build a digital full-fledged platform including a web portal and mobile app to improve the process of fundraising globally and to facilitate services provided for the eligibles. The challenge was to build a platform that supports 3 main tracks, basic care, family care, and rehabilitation, with more than 30 integrated services.

From analysis and design to development and maintenance, our multidisciplinary team leveraged the technologies of Swift, Java, and .Net to build the project with an innovative approach. The digital solutions include a donation “zakat” calculator, secured online payment options, connected bank accounts, press releases for successful projects, and more. They are also built to cover all the target segment needs such as raising donations and enabling the children of beneficiary families to study in universities, training programs, entrepreneurship programs, employment assistance, and many other services.

“Tarahom” digital solutions, powered by asgatech, have helped make a significant impact on raising social awareness about prisoners and recently released cases and successfully was a step to change many lives. Tarahom app and web portal allowed eligible members and families to apply for services online with maximum privacy for their identity while enabling organizations, businessmen, or anyone to donate and help these families with a few quick and secured steps all online.
